Spinach Fritters


 

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 2-3

Ingredients:
2 cups chickpea flour
¾ teaspoons white sesame seeds
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
½ teaspoon red chili powder
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
2 pinches of baking soda
Salt, to taste
1 cup water
12-14 fresh spinach leaves
Olive oil, for frying

Directions:
1. In a sizable bowl, add all ingredients except spinach and oil and mix till an easy mixture forms.
2. In a sizable skillet, heat oil on medium heat.
3. Dip each spinach leaf in chickpea flour mixture evenly and place in the hot oil in batches.
4. Cook, flipping occasionally for about 3-5 minutes or till golden brown from each side.
5. Transfer the fritters onto paper towel lined plate.
